Redesigning Sarieva Gallery’s Artistic Identity

We were commissioned by Sarieva Gallery, Plovdiv's key contemporary art hub, to redesign its visual identity. The project aimed to reflect the gallery’s experimental nature while enhancing its brand presence across digital and physical platforms. Our work included a new logo, typography, branding materials, and a redesigned website.

Sarieva Gallery, founded by Katrin and Vesselina Sarieva, is known for its bold approach to contemporary art. Our challenge was to create a visual identity that reflects the gallery’s non-conventional spirit while staying true to its reputation as a key player on the international art scene.

The design process focused on developing a neutral yet distinctive system that communicates freely, without hierarchy, and places emphasis on the gallery’s character rather than individual elements. The selected typography—Opale by Gabriele Fumero for primary text and Attractive by Lettersoup for supplementary content—ensures flexibility and modernity across various media.

The colour palette balances dark greys and whites with bright, dynamic accents of yellow, orange, blue, and green, representing the gallery’s vibrant, experimental edge. Our comprehensive design solutions included not only a refreshed logo and typography but also branding materials and a fully redesigned website, making Sarieva Gallery’s identity both cohesive and captivating.
