Visual Identity for Social Impact

After successfully designing three annual reports together, here, here, and here, Fine Acts, a global non-profit creative studio for social impact, invited us to refine its brand identity and logo. Following the concept and creative direction they had already established, we began bringing their vision to life straight away.

The main challenge was to update their logo to improve its clarity and develop a brand system that reflected their role as the driving force behind diverse projects and initiatives, such as The Greats, Artists for Climate, Love Speech Symbol, and more.

In close collaboration with Fine Acts, we built upon their existing brand assets to create a cohesive, structured identity that is fully adaptable for implementation across their various initiatives. Throughout the process, Fine Acts played an integral role in shaping the creative direction, ensuring that the new design embodied their big, bold, and playful character. So, we opted for a diverse colour palette, spanning 8 bright, playful colours, to add more vibrancy, whilst the chosen font strikes a balance between boldness and corporate simplicity, to accommodate their NGO status and needs.

Additionally, together with Fine Acts, we incorporated several illustrations from TheGreats.co, their open-license vault with carefully curated visual content for non-commercial use. This not only enriched the visual identity but also served as a practical example of how their platform's resources can be effectively adapted to support diverse projects and campaigns.

This was a truly collaborative design process between Fine Acts and our studio. By carefully considering their unique position, we co-created a catchy yet easy-to-use identity that is both playful and practical.
